Meet Revive Biotech's Rodeo Legends
Joe Beaver: A true Rodeo Legend and Hall of Fame inductee. In 1985 at the age of 20, Beaver won the PRCA Resistol Rookie of the Year award and entered the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) in Las Vegas as the youngest tie-down roper. After 10 days of intense competition, he left Las Vegas with his first world title, and Thomas & Mack Arena became known as “the house that Joe built.” Beaver would return to Las Vegas many more times to collect four additional world tie-down roping titles and three world all-around titles. When injuries forced him out of competition for most of 1999, Beaver still made the trip to the NFR – this time as a television commentator for ESPN. He returned in 2000 to win his third all-around title, rallying from $75,000 behind. Beaver, still a force in the PRCA, has qualified for 22 Wrangler NFRs. Joe Beaver is also the 5th person to ever surpass $3M in career earnings.
John Douch: 2-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Qualifier. Last year, he started his first WNFR in 15th place with about 53 percent of his regular season earnings this year. The former Permit Challenge winner got a taste of competing in Las Vegas at the South Point in 2016. He also qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo three times in the steer wrestling and tie-down roping. John grew up in a family that loves rodeo and is very competitive. Then he met Joe Beaver and added a second family. They were all on hand to watch him compete this year at Rodeo Houston.
Marcos Costa: 4-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Qualifier, 2017 World Champion. This native of Brazil became the first rodeo contestant to earn a gold buckle in an individual event. That was in 2017, he had his fifth knee surgery on his right knee in 2018 and came back at the end of the season. In 2019, he finished in 19th place. The horse that he has had the most success on, including winning the world championship is a 14-year-old mare, Sort of Popular, that Marcos calls “Paraguaia.” She also helped him win his last rodeo of the season this year at Salinas, California.
Blane Cox: Joining the PRCA in 2012 was the first step for Blane to accomplish his childhood dream of qualifying for the NFR. He was competing in college as well. His first full year of competition was in 2015 when he finished 27th and won $47,683. That gave him career earnings of $80,813 which he has nearly doubled this year before the NFR even starts. Blane has been king of the cowboys in central Texas since he was a youngster, winning titles at every level. A lover of hunting, he was either in the arena roping or looking for game every chance he got.
Lucas Meyers: The toughest kid on the planet! Lucas Meyers is a youth bull riding sensation, conquering some of the most formidable youth opponents in the rodeo world. As one of our youngest sponsors, Lucas represents the future of rodeo. Revive Biotech supports Lucas as he sets out on his rodeo journey, providing natural relief options that align with his youthful spirit and ambition.
